Custom Engraved Wood Baseball Bats: Solid Maple, Ink-Dot Tested, Game-Ready, Made in the USABig Lumber wood baseball bats are for all ages, youth to pro. They're real bats that are game-ready for all levels of baseball, and they meet the requirements for all baseball league bat rules. Big Lumber wood bats are hand-crafted in the USA to meet or exceed the standard requirements in professional baseball. On top of all that, they're all custom engraved with your name right on the barrel!
Any kid can - and should - swing a wood baseball bat. Wood baseball bats teach kids to use their whole body in their swing which is an essential skill in baseball. Wood baseball bats that are heavier than their aluminum game bats help kids build the muscles and mechanics they need for a smooth and powerful swing as they advance through each level of baseball. When a kid learns to swing a heavier bat at a younger age, those improved hitting mechanics will stick for life. The earlier a baseball player can swing a heavier, wood bat, the earlier they'll see the results on the field and throughout their playing career.
Big Lumber Bats are made from one-piece, rock-hard maple for the best contact, consistency and pop you can get in a wood bat. And with all the new baseball bat regulations requiring aluminum bats to perform more like wooden bats, why not swing an actual wood bat?
We also make wood fungo bats for coaches, wood training bats for better contact drills and bats for college, minor leaguers, wood-bat leagues, adult baseball leagues and even solid-maple bats for the pros.

Training Bats for Youth, High School and College Players?
Our wooden skinny-barrel swing trainer is, quite possibly, the best training bat available for youth baseball players. The best option is to buy our wooden swing trainer in the same length as your child's aluminum bat, but it will be a few ounces heavier (comes in a drop -5 weight) allowing the player to develop a stronger swing without compromising the length of the bat. Also, the skinny barrel is only 2 inches in diameter so it really helps with hand-eye coordination for more solid contact.
Our Heavy Hitter swing trainer bat is a full-size bat that is made from a heavier billet of solid maple. It also comes with a slightly-skinnier than usual barrel at 2-3/8" (most aluminum game bats have a barrel of 2-5/8") but the weight is typically a +3 to +4 ratio. For example, a 33-inch bat would weigh about 36 ounces. This added weight allows a player to develop stronger muscles required for a proper swing path without over-weighting the bat like a lot of weighted donuts do. In fact, this bat can be used in batting practice since there's no actual donut o the bat - it's just a heavier bat!
